Game changer!! Nice1 Mark, this looks incredible, i appreciate the heads up haha! After spending so many evenings dodging & burning, & Separating the frequencies, Evoto looks like thw next step for me. Top Man!! 🙌🏼💯
If you are a professional headshot-photographer: great tool to avoid boring mass-production and to make your clients happy. If you do ambitious one-person-portraits, you'll run into a problem. I experienced that, when I was working with portraitpro: If you move a slider to a hundred percent, anything will look completely artificial. But where do you stop? At 10%? At 40%? At 70%. The more you use such tools, the more you will work towards 100%. It's so easy and your photos look a little bit "better" if you push the slider a little bit more to the right. The more you use these tools the more you get used to that "plasticky" look and it get's tough not to overdo it. If you do retouching "by hand" it takes a lot of time and that's what prevents you effeciently from "overdoing". So to my opinion, there is no right way: if you want to do art - do it by hand. For mass-production, use ai. Thank you for your great and always inspiring tutorials. They helped me a lot to get better.
Wow. I’m definitely looking into this software right now. I’ve been looking to ditch the adobe photoshop ecosystem and I think this is it. Thank you for sharing.
I would not use it since it uploads your pictures to their servers to process the retouching. Also evoto uses a creditsystem to process the pictures. Better use portraitpro since it allows you to use it offline furthermore you don't pay anything after you purchased it
Not a fan of having to buy credits to use an item of software, a monthly or yearly plan might change my mind, but not a per credit software licence. It limits the images I would retouch.
Hi Mark, this is a great video, thanks for making it. Evoto has move on massively since you introduced me to it last year. As a massive Adobe LR & PS user, is there a way of incorporating Evoto into my LR workflow as I still want to use LR as my image organiser. I note you are not able to export images from LR into Evoto so, how do you it work?
This looks like a game changer for me. I’ve been using portrait pro but it’s stopped working on my second gen. iPad Pro. since I now use Sony a74. Is this available for iPad Pro? And what are the processing power requirements to run this.
Is it just me that thinks AI has its uses but in photography it is taking away the beauty of capturing a shot in its natural format. Photographers now are becoming computer/AI experts and I think it is taking away the artistic nature of what photography is all about.
@@lubegaadili7206 true, but it doesn’t distract from the fact that a lot of photographers are not photographers anymore they are just image manipulators
Very few people want to see their natural selves in portraits though. I value AI for fixing imperfections like acne or fly-away hairs, but agree that creative edits need to be acknowledged as such.
The new pricing will be significantly higher per photo. Today, for $83.99, you receive 1,200 credits at a rate of $0.069 per photo, with a 1-year validity. From 26th, while they've extended the validity to 2 years, the cost has doubled to $167.99 for the same 1,200 credits, making it $0.14 per photo. Where's the value in that? I would much prefer the old pricing, where I could get 2,400 credits over 2 years for the same price as the new plan. Why the price increase by 100%?
Buying credits to retouch a photo? No way! I’d much rather have a monthly or yearly subscription. It’s too limiting to decide which picture to retouch, and if you change your mind about the photo, you lose the credit for nothing.
I hate all this subscription or credit whatever way of now using software. It's obviously brilliant but I just want to pay for it and we are done. Sorry.
New Users can get extra 30 credits using: evoto.ai/s/MarkMcGee07
Summer sale link: Evoto Summer promotion sale: evoto.ai/c/SpM07
Thanks a lot for the great video. Unfortunately the link to get 30 credits does not work anymore

great content. Do you know when they will do round trips from capture one, photoshop or any other editor?
thanks for the real results and damn detail axplain everithing :)
I think k I’ll retouch the old fashioned way using the skills I’ve learnt over the years. It’s cost free that way.
It cost time. Just a choice, time or money.

Agree, totally!!
Absolutely correct
Does the live tethered editing cost a credit? Thanks

Does free trial version reduce raw size only?
Can it also help lower the noise level of a photo??
Very good for studio shoots, but realized I have to go back to PS for background changes.
The only problem is that the glass refection --- the program removes the arm of the frame ; not good .

I think that’s just the voice of the photographer.
You have to adapt or perish 😂

She looks like a mona Lisa painting 😆 I think for modeling this is great but doesn’t quite capture the natural essence. Just my 2 cents.
Can you fix double chin with it?
Yes

Annoying it does show the full res image whilst editing. It then reverts to the original without editng to do colour grading.
Nothing wrong with being yourself, why bother spend your money ?
Oh yeah... I will pass on this... Just my personal opinion
Looks so fake now. You edited her too much
